First disclaimer, I’m dyslexic therefore my spelling and grammar is shit. I’m an introverted extrovert, and I have a potty mouth.
I had my first panic attack at the age of 5, terrified my mum was going to die. Back in 1997 mental health wasn’t as widely known about or as accepted as it is today. So my parents did the best they could to help me cope.
I went undiagnosed until the age of 18. When I was first put on medication. But still didn’t take my mental health too seriously. As it still had a HUGE stigma around it.
Fast forward to 2018, mid nervous breakdown, on a flight to Bali on my first ever solo trip!
I had to really start taking my mental health seriously. And this trip really showed me how!
💖I learnt the necessary coping mechanisms that work for me
💖Developed a deeper understanding about my triggers and past trauma
💖And that having mental health doesn’t have to stop you from achieving you dreams!
Since taking that trip I have learnt more about mindset, wellness, boundaries, self worth, self love, self care and becoming a fucking badass then I ever thought was possible.
There is still a HUGE stigma around mental health, and that’s shit, but together we show them the fucking queens we are!
